LA LIGA CLUBS WANT CAZORLA

Arsenal star Santi Cazorla has attracted a lot of interest from La Liga sides, according to reports.

Since Cazorla’s switch from Malaga in 2012, he has been a major contributor to the Gunner squad, but the La Liga seems to be keen on luring him back home. Spanish news source Fichajes, says that the 31-year old has many suitors in Spain as rumours regarding him not extending his stay in England start to filter.

Cazorla’s current deal at the Emirates is set to end in a couple of months, and many clubs are already getting set to acquire his services should he decide against a renewal. The report claims Valencia, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are happy to sign him if he returns to Spain. For now, it remains unclear if the Spain international will sign an extension in before June.

Last year, Cazorla could only force 15 games in an injury-plagued season. This term, he has been consistent and has been contributing to the squad’s performances so far. He has featured in all seven games this season, scoring two times. Also, Cazorla is a set to play when Arsenal face Swansea this weekend.

Aside Cazorla, Arsenal would have to ward off interest from Manchester City and Barcelona if they are to retain Hector Bellerin. The right back has been linked heavily with a return to the Nou Camp. Barca former boss Pep Guardiola is also keen on the youngster but Arsenal want Bellerin to sign a new deal that will ensure he faces Arsenal squarely.

Bellerin currently earns in the region of 50,000 Pounds weekly, but Arsenal management want to increase his wages significantly in the proposed new contract. Bellerin has been a stable figure in the set-up at the Emirates, and would likely accept the fresh terms.
