Jose Mourinho ever Ready to Reply to Critics

Jose Mourinho never shies away from giving a fitting reply to his critics or to his counterparts who dare try to make fun of him and recently was one such occasion where he was at it again.

The story started with Antonio Conte talking about the tragic campaign that the Blues had had in the Premiership during Mourinho’s last season in charge.

The season before that had actually been very successful for the Blues as Mourinho had guided them to the Premiership title, but, it was thereafter followed by a shocking season.

It was so bad that there were doubts at one stage if Chelsea could save its top division status or not because they didn’t have too big a lead over the teams at the 18th, 19th and 20th positions in the table mid-way through the season.

But the caretaker head coach Guss Hiddink who was put on the hot seat after the removal of Mourinho stabilised the sinking ship and ensured Chelsea’s participation in the top division the following season.

Referring to that, Conte said that Chelsea’s title defence this time around shouldn’t be like how it was during the tenure of Mourinho in spite of whatever difficulty they are finding themselves in with regard to exhaustion or whatever.

When Mourinho was told about Conte’s comment, he replied back in his own style.

As per Mourinho, it’s not that he can’t answer to Conte in the same tone, but, he doesn’t want his hairs to start falling as well. So he would prefer not to get into it.

No prizes for guessing what Mourinho meant there. Conte is actually believed to have artificial hairs on his head which he got transplanted through operation and it was that which Mourinho was hinting towards.
